This week, I started to look for renting a villa in Costa Rica just to see what my life will look like in December 2016 when I will enter this country for a 3-4 months trip. I must say I was quite excited to see what I can afford!
This week, I’ve covered the situation in China with my post about Leverage being just an illusion.
Then, I shared how I use the 80/20 rule in all aspects of my life.
I also wrote 2 stocks analysis:

Interesting Reads:
Dividend Growth Investor made several purchases in June. My favorite is probably 3M (MMM) and Exxon Mobil (XOM). The first one is a very strong company that is currently undervalued and the second one is definitely trading at a great discount!
Dividend Mantra explains why Florida is one of the best states for early retirement. I might have to consider moving permanently to the States once my RV trip is over! I must admit, he got me at “no state tax”!
Dividend Diplomats made their watch list for August. I’m not convinced by IBM and CIBC but I like Dow Chemical. This is what I like about reading other dividend blogs; more ideas that comes in conflicts with mine. This is how you can evolve as an investor and as a person in general.
Dividend Hustler shares his dividend investing milestones. I was impressed to see how many stocks he holds in his portfolio. He has built a monstrous dividend making machine in no time. Congrats Tyler!
Captain Dividend Bought Kinder Morgan (KMI). He definitely picked a strong dividend stock at a great moment (it’s down 18% ytd).
Roadmap 2 Retires talks about Gold. He reviews different ways to invest in the precious commodity. I personally don’t like gold at all. After all, this is just a piece of metal you buy and put on your desk; that as nothing to do with a business generating juice cash flows.
DivHut is also making his watch list. I really like CAT at this price along with RY and TD.
And a Special Mention To…
Frank at Dividend Engineering who makes a pause from blogging. Frank wrote several high quality dividend articles. Unfortunately, the fun to write is not there anymore. I hope he will come back!
Another special mention to Eric from Retire 29. This is another guy who shares the will to ignore the “normal path” and retire early. He wrote a very interesting article about life called: Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans. My favorite quote of this inspirational post is:
Make your plans. Automate them. Then, Live Your Life.
I think it says it all!
I’ll receive all my friends and family tomorrow for the birthday of my two oldest kids (their birthday is one week apart). This will be the last time we receive everybody in this house as we will be chilling on the California coast at the same time of the year next year. I will embrace tomorrow’s moment!
Enjoy your weekend!
